Floor Constructions
The Aqua-Dec suits both timber and concrete floors...
Option 1: Timber floor with tiled surface.
The Aqua-Dec being 22mm thick is ideal for most timber and first floor situations. To fit the dec the floor boards are removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the dec can then be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with the decs edges in preparation for the floor tiles.
Option 2: Concrete floor with tiled surface.
On concrete floors the Aqua-Dec can be let in to the concrete screed and when the pipe work has been completed it can then be bedded down to sit level with the existing floor. The tiling can then be installed over the entire bathroom floor.
Option 3: Timber floor with vinyl covering
The Aqua-Dec being 22mm thick is ideal for most timber and first floor situations. To fit the dec the floor boards are removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the dec can then be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with the decs edges in preparation for the non slip vinyl floor covering.
Option 4: Concrete floor with vinyl covering
On concrete floors the Aqua-Dec can be let in to the concrete screed and when the pipe work has been completed it can then be bedded down to sit level with the existing floor. The flooring can then be laid over the entire bathroom floor and over the newly installed dec.
